Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) hair regrowth treatment is a non-surgical option for fighting hair loss in both men and women. A natural therapy, the process involves using a patients own blood platelets, plasma, vitamins and minerals to stimulate hair regrowth and improve thickness and density of existing hair. A safe and simple treatment, many patients opt to undergo PRP treatment over having a full hair transplant due to its cost
efficiency, convenient nature, and the brief duration of a PRP procedure. PRP hair regrowth treatment effectively combats three forms of hairloss:
• Androgenic Alopecia: Hair loss mainly due to hormonal imbalances
• Diffuse Alopecia: Caused by physiological changes such as stress, nutrient deficiencies etc
• Alopecia Areata: Autoimmune disease in which hair is lost from some or all areas of the scalp.
RECOVERY & RESULTS
As a simple non-surgical treatment, PRP hair regrowth recovery is quick and easy. You may experience some redness of the scalp for a small time post procedure, however this will soon fade. For patients prone to bruising, some minor bruising may occur at the area of injection however this is normal and will typically heal within 1-2 days.
The first visible results for a PRP hair regrowth treatment begin one month after the first session with a reduction in hair loss. Re-growth and thickening of hair will then typically begin 2-3 months after your treatment.

DO I NEED A CONSULTATION FIRST?
Here at Géniale, we will take the time to discuss a holistic approach to your goals for reshaping your body. A preliminary consultation is encouraged so you can get to know our team, and so that our resident PRP hair regrowth specialist can assess your scalp and determine the best way forward. We also encourage consultations so that you can learn more about other options you may have in achieving your aesthetic goals.
HOW IS THE TREATMENT CARRIED OUT?
A PRP hair regrowth procedure is simple and brief. Lasting only 30 minutes, the procedure has two main steps:
First, blood is taken from the arm of the patient and placed into a centrifuge. This centrifuge is able to seperate PRP by applying centrifugal force, drawing it out due to its different density from the rest of the blood.
Next, the PRP is injected into the areas of the scalp suffering from hair loss or thinning. The minerals and vitamins within the PRP provide nutrients to shrinking hair follicles, promoting thicker, fuller, and healthier hair. For the best results we recommend three seperate sessions over a 12 week period. This allows for ongoing nutrients to be provided to your scalp, giving new and existing hairs time to thicken and grow with PRP assistance.
As it is a natural procedure involving the use of your own blood, PRP hair regrowth treatment carries very minimal risk of adverse side effects. However, as with any procedure, there are potential risks involved:
– Infection at injection points – Tightness of the scalp
– Calcification at injection points
One PRP treatment will cost $550. However if you wish to pay upfront for the recommended three sessions, this will cost only $1200.
