Laser procedures are now the best option you have for eliminating the spider veins. Laser treatments are completed in less than an hour and allow you to return to your daily life immediately after your appointment, you can expect to see some improvement in the appearance of your veins immediately. It feels hot on the skin. We use a cooling blower to reduce the hot feeling on the skin and are guided by your experience.
The energy from the laser is absorbed by the blood in the vein, converted into heat, and the vein walls are subsequently destroyed. In comparison with other wavelengths, which mainly affect the surface layers of a lesion, our laser also targets the underlying vascular feeding system, which is important for ensuring the long-term efficacy of the treatment. This process is perfectly safe as other healthy veins supply blood to the treated area and the body’s immune system clears away the dead tissue just as with a bruise.
Wear a sunscreen every day and apply it twice a day for the first 2-4 weeks. In cases where veins cover a large area of your body, you may need more treatment sessions.
Laser treatments are a routine procedure and the perfect solution for the removal of various types of vascular lesions, including hemangiomas, spider veins on the face and legs, vascular malformations (such as portwine stains), telangiectasis, venous lakes and angiomas.
We use lasers to target the underlying vascular feeding system, not the surface layers of the lesion. This ensures the long-term efficacy of the treatment. The procedure can be used on any area of the face or body with vascular lesions.
Results are immediate and will continue to improve over a 4 week period.
*Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
