BROWS BY PRISCILLA
Priscilla Cortese is a true brow artist and one of Sydney’s most talented and qualified beauty therapist and microblader. While semi-permanent microfeathered tattoo brows are her specialty, Priscilla also offers brow tinting and shaping, and lash lifting.
WHAT IS MICROFEATHERING?
Microfeathering is like the no-makeup makeup version of semipermanent brow tattoos.
The biggest difference between microblading and microfeathering is surface area. Microblading usually involves tattooing over your whole brow area to create fullness and shape. People with alopecia or super-thin brows often opt for semi-permanent brow tattoos to avoid constantly drawing on their brows. Microfeathering, on the other hand, is for those with naturally full brows.
For six to eight weeks, before your treatment, you must avoid all forms of hair removal on your brow area, including tweezing, waxing, and threading.
The goal is to mimic the natural hair and its growth patterns for the perfect effect, which is soft, natural and beautiful.
WHAT IF I HAVE GAPS IN MY BROWS FROM OVER PLUCKING?
Gaps and sparsely covered areas can be filled in, resulting in an incredibly natural look. Once microfeathering is done, you shouldn’t be able to tell the difference between ‘real’ and microfeathered hair strokes. Be assured that Priscilla uses the best quality ink (poor quality ink can lose colour as time passes). All ink is closely matched to the eyebrows’ true colour, for a maximum, realistic effect.
HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?
Please allow around two hours to complete your first treatment including the consultation, procedure and aftercare information. You may need to allow some extra time for your first appointment. This will allow you to discuss your brow ambitions with Priscilla.
HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
The hair-like strokes created by microfeathering gradually fade over the course of about 24 months. Ideally, you will maintain your brows with cosmetic tattoo touch ups every year.
DOES THE PROCEDURE HURT?
The area will be numbed first with cream. Priscilla does not use needles or tattoo guns. Instead, we use the latest professional blade which is fine and precise. Clients most often say the process is ‘strange’ and ‘pinchy’ but not painful.
WHAT ARE HD BROWS?
Bespoke brows to suit your face shape. This service includes a brow tint, brow shape and soothing after wax gel followed by a powder, gel and highlight application.
As above, our brow treatments all begin with a thorough consultation. Every step is individualised to create brows shape and colour best suited to your face and skin tone.
HOW LONG DOES THE HD BROW TREATMENT TAKE?
The treatment will take around 45 minutes to complete including the consultation and aftercare information. You may need to allow some extra time for your first appointment. This will allow you to discuss with your Stylist the journey your brows are about to embark on.
HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
One thing that tends to cause a lot of confusion is how long HD Brows last. It’s not a semi-permanent treatment; it’s all about achieving your dream brows naturally.
On average, the effects of the treatment last between 4 & 6 weeks. This can differ due to a number of factors, including how fast your hair grows, your skincare regime, etc. Priscilla will be able to advise you how long you will get from a treatment and recommend how often you should be revisiting.
We differ to many other treatments as we don’t believe in a one shape fits all ethos, HD Brows is a complete bespoke treatment tailored to each individual based upon the consultation.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU GET HD BROWS?
Depending on your hair growth we recommend looking to having your eyebrow waxed every 4 weeks. As for your eyebrow tinting firstly we recommend a patch test preventing a reaction should you have sensitive skin. To keep up maintenance of your eyebrow every 3-4 weeks would suffice.
DO HD BROWS HURT?
These treatments involve waxing, threading and plucking which may cause mild pain according to an individual’s pain threshold such as some discomfort or a momentary very mild sting.
WHAT IS A PERMANENT LASH LIFT?
Lash Lift is an advancement on the old-fashioned “lash perm”. Unlike the perming rods used in the past, which had the downside of eyelashes potentially looking over-processed and over-curled, new specially created silicone pads lift the lashes from the root only, creating a subtle, yet beautiful curve. The lash lift gives a natural enhancement to lashes with little to no maintenance. Combine a Lash Lift with a Lash Tint for the ultimate lash treatment to truly make the most of what you have.
HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?
A lash lift can take anything from 45 minutes to an hour from beginning to end. Maybe a little longer if you decide to have your eyelashes tinted which will enhance the effect of your lash lift.
Please arrive without eye makeup or contact lenses for this service, or arrive early to remove.
HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
A Lash Lift can last 6-8 weeks but can vary from person to person.

Lash extensions are a semi-permanent application of individually applied mink lashes. The lashes look and feel natural and lightweight, but dramatically accentuate and enhance the beauty of your own eyes. Many of our clients are so pleased with their new lashes, they throw away their mascara.

Perfect for those wanting a difference to their lashes while remaining low-key. This set adds slight volume and a lot of length while still remaining natural and gorgeous.
Three Quarter $120
Hollywood Hybrid $150
Volume Glamour $150
Infills $70-$80 (recommended every 3 -4 weeks)
Do we infill lash extensions from other salons?
We can do this if the lashes are not of poor quality and condition (large clumps of glue, itchy eyes etc). It would be best to contact us first to discuss the best options for you.
We only use Premium Korean mink eyelash extensions. That way no matter what you choose your lashes always look amazing.
For your first full set, it will take around 90 minutes, and after that refills only 60 minutes.
As your natural eyelashes shed we need to add new extensions on your new lashes. For maximum fullness, we recommend getting a fill every 3-4 weeks.
It took a lot of work to get your lashes done. Follow these steps to make them last.
- Do not perm or tint lashes after lash extension application.
- Do not get them wet at all for 24hrs.
- Do not use a regular eyelash curler to curl Extensions (you won’t need to curl your extensions).
- Do not rub your eyes or lashes when washing your face. Clean around the eyes with a washcloth.
- Do not pull your lash extensions, as it will take out your own lash as well!
- Do not go to a Sauna while wearing Eyelash Extensions for at least 48hrs.
- If you choose to wear mascara – only apply to the tips and use water-based mascara that washes off easily.
- Do not try to remove the Extensions on your own, call us and we will remove them without harming your natural lashes.
- Do not cut the Extensions (you may cut your own lashes).
- Clean your eye makeup, but be gentle with your Extensions.
- Remember to come in for touch-ups (3-4 weeks).
- Never tug, twist, pick or pull at your lashes or extensions.
- Treat your eyes gently – as if you have makeup on that you don’t want to smudge.
- Brush and groom your lashes gently with a disposable mascara spoolie or eyeshadow brush.
- Try to sleep on your back or side, avoid smashing your lashes completely as you sleep.
- When using night creams/serums, apply sparingly and blot off excess.
- When you touch your lashes, always use upward, sweeping motions – no side to side rubbing at the lash line.
- Keep your fingers off your lashes. Every time you touch them you are transferring natural oil and germs.
Every treatment at Géniale is personal and individualised. We invite you to make an appointment to meet our team to discuss your treatment options.
